Your Responsibilities. In accordance with terms and conditions contained herein, by accessing GivingPoint, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth herein.

GivingPoint was created so that teens would have an online community where they can share their civic interests, learn from each other, and earn points to reward their favored nonprofit charities. We encourage the sharing of ideas and respecting each other. We ask that teens and nonprofits only post pictures, blogs, comments and projects that are meaningful and inspiring.

Point System

GivingPoint awards teens with points for learning about societal issues through on-line quizzes on GivingPoint. Teens can also earn points for contributing time, talent and raising funds on GivingPoint. To learn more about the point system, please visit

GivingPoint reserves the right to change the point system at any time. While we will endeavor to provide a minimum of 30 days notice to you of any changes to the point system, whether or not we provide notice to you, you will be bound by the revised terms and conditions for all subsequent use of the Resources and Services on GivingPoint after such modifications have been made. If you do not agree to any of the terms and conditions, we ask that you not use the Resources and Services provided on GivingPoint.

  • GivingPoint Relationship to Nonprofit Users.
    For nonprofit users, GivingPoint will perform, and you authorize GivingPoint to provide as your agent on your behalf, the following services: GivingPoint will (i) receive and process online donations made by individuals or entities (Donors) through the Projects Page on GivingPoint; (ii) hold the funds received through these online Donations in a non-operating bank account; (iii) remit funds to the designated nonprofit by check, less a service fee of 5% of all donations collected via the GivingPoint website. These fees are inclusive of all credit card processing and banking fees we pay. These fees are subject to change at any time at the discretion of GivingPoint upon a 30-day notice. (iv) GivingPoint will send a “thank you” email and transaction receipt to Donors.

    GivingPoint is available for use by teen youth volunteers (ages 13 – 19). Aside from taking the on-line quizzes, teens must complete the account creation process in order to access and utilize the GivingPoint resources and services.

    When teens use GivingPoint’s Resources and Services, they will be asked for their name and email address, and other information to identify themselves or their affiliated nonprofit organization. The option to create an account is the teens. This information remains private in accordance with the GivingPoint Privacy Policy described at

    Applications for Grants: Through GivingPoint, teens can earn points to apply for grants for their favored nonprofits. Grants are awarded at the discretion of the GivingPoint Board of Directors. However, earning a set number of points does not guarantee that a grant will be awarded. All applications for grants will be reviewed within 30 days of submission. Teens will be notified of the status of their grant request within 45 days of submission. Grant funds will be paid to designated nonprofits within 60 days of approval. Payment to the designated nonprofit organization will be made by check.

  • GivingPoint Relationship to Donors.
    GivingPoint is a nonprofit public benefit charity. GivingPoint has received exemption with the Internal Revenue Service as an organization that qualifies as a public charity under Section 501 c (3) of the IRS Code of 1986. Donors are eligible to receive a tax deduction when contributing to PROJECTS on GivingPoint or to GivingPoint.

    Donors will pay the online Donations by credit card to GivingPoint as your Agent. Donations can also be made via check (sent to 555 Sun Valley Drive, Suite K-4, Alpharetta, GA 30076). The fees deducted from the Donations will be paid to GivingPoint at the time of the transaction. Payment to the designated nonprofit organization will be made monthly via check. If the funds due to such participant exceed $100 or no less frequently than quarterly if the donations are less than $100. Payments will be sent on or about the 16th of the month following the end of the relevant payment period. These payment schedules are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of GivingPoint. Nonprofit users will be responsible for payment for taxes based on its net income or gross receipts, if any.

  • Donations to Nonprofits; Our fees
    If you are a Fundraiser or Donor, you are solely responsible for ensuring that you have selected the correct organization to fundraise for or donate to. The amount of donations to the nonprofit designated by you is charged to your credit card and paid to, and processed by GivingPoint, for the charities behalf. All donations are final and non-refundable.

    Donations to the nonprofit designated by the Donor will be net of the fees as described in Section 3. Donors agree not to use an invalid or unauthorized credit card in making transactions on the GivingPoint site. If you become aware of fraudulent use of your card, or if it is lost or stolen, you must notify your card provider in accordance with it’s reporting rules.

  • Projects and the Information Posted on GivingPoint.

    Any information; ideas or opinions posted by third parties utilizing GivingPoint do not necessarily reflect our views. We do not assume responsibility for the accuracy of any information, ideas or opinions posted by these users and are not liable for any claims, damages or losses resulting from such information, ideas or opinions. If you post any information, materials, photos or other content on our website, you authorize us to use and publish such materials in any manner we choose and without any obligation to compensate you or anyone else.

    When posting any information, materials or content you agree that you will not:

    • Harass, defame, intimidate or threaten anyone;
    • Interfere with another user’s rights to privacy;
    • Post any material that is defamatory (i.e., disparaging to the reputation of an individual or business);
    • Post any material that is obscene, offensive or indecent;
    • Post any trademarks, logos, copyrighted material or other intellectual property without the authorization of the owner;
    • Post any materials that may damage the operation of a computer (such as a virus, worm or Trojan horse); or
    • Advertise or sell any goods or services.

    User Conduct

    You must at all times use GivingPoint’s Resources and Services in a responsible and legal manner. In particular (but not exclusively) you must not do any of the following: misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with any other person or organization; send junk email or spam to people who do not wish to receive mail from you; delete or falsify any attributions, trademarks or designations of source from any website content; conduct, display or forward surveys, contests, pyramid schemes or chain letters; or interfere with or disrupt the service or services or networks connected to the service; collect or store personal data about other users.

    Prohibited Uses

    Users of GivingPoint specifically agree NOT to:

    • Use the services to undertake or accomplish any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to, posting, sorting, transmitting or disseminating information, data or material which is libelous, obscene, unlawful, threatening or defamatory, or would constitute a criminal offense;
    • Post, store, send, transmit, reproduce or disseminate any information or material that a reasonable person could deem to be unlawful
    • Impersonate any person or entity, engage in sender address falsification, or forge anyone else’s signature
    • Register under the name of another person
    • Allow another person to access the site using your credentials
      Capture or download copy of any content that is shown on GivingPoint without obtaining permission

    Our website may provide links to third-party websites or services and may link you automatically to sponsors’ or third party’s websites or services. We provide such links solely for the convenience of our users. We do not review or endorse, and are not responsible for, any content, advertising, products, services or other materials on or available from such websites or services. You assume full responsibility for your use of third-party websites or services.

    Intellectual Property and Copyright

    GivingPoint shall retain all Intellectual Property Rights in the software, tools, designs, documentation, data and any other material developed or provided by GivingPoint, including but not limited to the services and any data, text, pictures, sound, graphics, logos, marks, symbols, video, visual, oral or other digital material and any other content of any description.

    By using GivingPoint’s Resources or Services, you acknowledge and agree that GivingPoint owns all legal right, title and interest in, including any intellectual property rights which subsist in the site (whether those rights happen to be registered or not).

    Unless you have been expressly authorized to do so in writing by GivingPoint, you agree that in using the GivingPoint Resources and Services, you will not use any trade mark, logo or content that is likely or intended to cause confusion about the owner or authorized user of these marks, names or logos.

    Under no circumstances shall GivingPoint be liable to you or anyone else for any damages arising out of any use or misuse of GivingPoint Resources or Services, regardless of the form or cause of action but not limited to, contract, negligence, and other tort actions.


    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GivingPoint (including all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers) against all claims, losses, expenses, damages and costs (including reasonable attorney fees) resulting from any breach of the terms or unauthorized use of GivingPoint Resources or Services.

    Changes to the Terms

    GivingPoint reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When these changes are made, GivingPoint will make a copy of the updated terms available on this website.

    Term & Termination

    Your agreement to abide by these terms and conditions will commence automatically upon your initial use of the GivingPoint service and continue until the earlier of (i) termination of your rights to use the Resources and Services by GivingPoint or (ii) you ceasing to use the Resources and Services.
