Vaishu A. is a rising senior at Alpharetta High School and was a student in the 2018-2019 North Fulton Summer Social Innovators Academy cohort.

When is the last time you watched a philanthropic film? Vaishu A, an 11th grader at Alpharetta High School and member of Giving Point’s Social Innovators Academy is working to create and compile a collection of philanthropic films that showcase the service initiatives of individuals, organizations, and businesses.

Her project, “PHILMS”, is a play on the words “philanthropic films.” Adimulam recognized the influence and effect of the media on those her age and wanted to use the platform to inspire greater change. She merged her passions of social impact and video to cover topics on the environment, animals, education, and more.

Adimulam has her own unique vision of the media, stating that, “It’s not the common branch of service, but it’s where I find my niche. The way people interconnect and how our platforms affect us daily constantly fascinates me. The internet is an endless network of content and my hope is for it to be filled with inspiring stories of humanity that will motivate generations to come.”
