Emory P. is a rising junior at Walton High School and was a student in the 2018-2019 North Fulton Social Innovators Academy cohort.

Emory used Social Innovators Academy to kickstart the development of his own non-profit, “Soul Supplies” with the mission to provide backpacks filled with essential supplies, such as clothes, food, motivation, sanitary products, water bottles, etc. to the homeless population around Metro Atlanta.

“I have always been passionate about helping the homeless because I feel this homeless population is often overlooked by many people and government officials, and they are not given the respect and care they deserve,” says Emory. “I have seen the despair and despondence in the faces of many homeless people, especially when I have done service projects where I ran out of backpacks and supplies. It breaks my heart to see this.”

My goal is to eradicate the greater part of homelessness, and to make homeless people feel like they belong in this world and there are people who love them.”
