• Social Innovators Academy

    GivingPoint’s Social Innovators Academy is a structured social entrepreneurship training program that provides a cohort of high school students with the tools and resources needed to be changemakers for causes they are passionate about.

What is SIA?

At GivingPoint, we believe that high school students have the power to change the world. Our Social Innovators Academy program provides students with the support and resources they need to do just that.

Students participate in workshops designed to teach the skills necessary to launch social impact projects, awareness campaigns, and nonprofit organizations. These workshops, taught by industry and nonprofit experts, teach the students skills such as event planning, budgeting, research and development, networking, and more.

Summer Program Details

We are excited to offer Social Innovators Academy again as a week-long program!

Summer Program Details

We are excited to offer Social Innovators Academy again as a week-long workshop!  You will receive the same workshops and hands-on experiences as our school-year program, but in an accelerated, week-long format.

Applications for the summer program are due by March 31st at midnight.

Program details:

  • Meeting every day for a week, approximately 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Snacks and lunch will be provided
  • June 3rd – 7th at Constellations in Downtown Atlanta
  • June 10th – 14th at The Cottage School in Roswell
  • June 17th – 21st in Forsyth County

Fall Program Details

We are excited to offer two Social Innovators Academy options during the school year!

Fall Program Details

We are excited to offer Social Innovators Academy during the school year in two different formats, with both options being only a semester long in order to better accommodate busy student schedules.

Applications for the fall program are due by May 1st at midnight.

Program details:

Semester-long Saturday SIA:

  • Meeting five Saturdays over the course of a semester, approximately 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Snacks and lunch will be provided
  • Fall Semester 2019
  • Spring Semester 2020

Semester-long Evening SIA:

  • Meeting two evenings a month over the course of a semester
  • Fall Semester 2019
  • Spring Semester 2020
