What is SIA?

GivingPoint’s Social Innovators Academy (SIA) is an entrepreneurial training program that provides a cohort of high school students with tools and resources needed to be social entrepreneurs for causes they are passionate about. Students participate in workshops, lead by industry experts, designed to teach the skills needed to launch social impact projects, awareness campaigns, and nonprofit organizations.

Is SIA a good fit for me?

SIA serves as a catalyst for passionate students who are on a mission to make the world a better place. The goal of SIA is to create a social impact project, awareness campaign, or to host an event. While it is not required that you have an idea for a project before joining, it is important that you are willing to work toward a project as your end goal. SIA is great for students who are passionate for a specific cause or area and have ideas and plans to put their passion into action. While we teach and equip you with the necessary skills, successful completion of SIA is also dependent on your initiative to put in work in between SIA sessions. Also, to correspond with GivingPoint staff and mentors in addition to participating in workshops.
