March is the last quiet month before things get crazy again!

We are starting to wrap up this year’s Social Innovators Academy programs, while also preparing for our upcoming 2019-2020 programs. We are planning our annual Sparks event, to celebrate the accomplishments of this group of SIA students. And additionally, we are working on some big picture plans for GivingPoint in the long term!

Social Innovators Academy

This month was an important topic for Social Innovators Academy: overcoming adversity. For this topic, we hosted panel discussions instead of a traditional workshop. Adversity is something we all face in one way or another. Hearing from fellow students and community members about the adversity they faced, and how they overcame it, is encouraging for our students. Read more about the workshops here!

In-school Social Innovators Academy

Our SIA cohorts at Milton High School and Roswell High School covered a wide variety of topics this month! Both cohorts had a mixture of workshops, covering everything from marketing to strategic leadership and much more, and also one-on-one meetings. The schools are getting ready for spring break, and once the students return we will be wrapping up the SIA program and continuing to move towards project implementation!

Annual Report

We recently published our 2018 annual report. Download it here to read all about GivingPoint’s 2018 growth and accomplishments!
